Matan al-Arba’in is one of Imam Nawawi’s great books which has stood the test
of time. For hundreds of years, the Forty Hadith of Imam Nawawi has lighted the
path of believers "whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day." The hadiths included
in this collection are unique and full of meaning, each of them setting forth
and/or reinforcing one of the fundamental points of our Deen.

In this weekend intensive, you will unpack the 42 hadiths included in Imam
Nawawi's collection. The course will focus on the language of the hadiths, their
implications in Sacred Law, and their relevance to our lives as Muslims in the
21st century. They were related almost 1500 years ago, yet they speak to the
innermost concerns of our hearts and souls. Indeed, these hadiths are timeless.

The life lessons that will be learned in this intensive will be invaluable on
your journey to Allah. The hadiths will provide guidance on strengthening your
relationship with Allah and improving your interaction with fellow humans. These
lessons may be applied to your worship, work, studies, marriage, and family and
community life. Through properly learning and reflecting upon these hadiths, you
will, insha’Allah, not only increase your understanding of the beauty of Islamic
beliefs, values, and morals, but you will also be equipped with clear guidelines
for both personal and social transformation.
