Retreat To Be Conducted By : Shaykh Nooruddin Durkee
Shaykh Nooruddeen Durkee is the President an-Noor Educational Trust. He is also the founder of the Dar al-Islam Foundation of New Mexico.He is a prolific writer and a dynamic speaker. He also serves as an advisor to ISRA. He has addressed every national ISRA convention since 1998 on a variety of spiritual topics and contemporary Islamic issues. He is very active in the Charlottesville (VA) Muslim community. He regularly delivers Jumuah sermons in the neighboring university, inner city and prison communities of Virginia. He has authored numerous books and essays which have been widely published. He recently completed a transliteration and translation of the Noble Qur'an which has been widely acclaimed in the Muslim communities throughout the world. He is also the Khalifa (representative) of Shaykh Ibrahim El- Battawy (Shaykh of the Shadhdhuli Battawy Tariqa), the former professor of Islamic philosophy and tasawwuf, at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt.
