Preface

No Mawdoo’ [Fabricated] Hadeeth or Aathar are included in this book. Saheeh [Rigorously Authenticated] and Hasan [Authentic] Hadeeths are included. If a Sanad is Da'eef [Weakly authenticated],another Sanad or multiple Sanads are given to strengthen it to Hasan or similar as per the rules of Hadeeth. This is as per the Arabic preface of Mujaddid Imam Jalaluddin Abdur-Rahman al-Suyuti’s [R], al-Khasaais al-Kubra. The classification of Imam Nooruddin al-Haythami’s [R] Hadeeth encyclopedia, Majma’-uz-Zawaaid [in Arabic] is used when the Hadeeth is quoted from it. Most of the contents of this book are from the above two references.

At the time of this work, this author was not aware of any similar work on the Miracles of Sayyiduna Muhammad Rasoolullah [Sall Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam] in the English language. This was felt by me to be a great gap in Islamic scholarship in the English language that needed to be filled.

Mufti Ghulam Moinuddin Naeemi’s [r] Urdu translation of al-Khasaais al-Kubra was used extensively. I have preserved many Islamic terms as is, such that the youth be accustomed to using them and to avoid loss of meaning.

Miracle of His Amplified Voice

BQ, NU: H. Baraa (R):“His Khutba was heard by everyone, even the women sitting far away!!”

NU: H. Burayda (R):“Women seated far away, behind a screen, could hear his Wa’z after Salaat!!"

Miracle of His Blessed Perspiration

MS: H. Anas [R]: My mother collected his [Sall-Allahu ‘alaihi wa sallam] blessed sweat in a bottle!” She said: “It fragrance is better than all perfumes!!” +MS: with another Sanad+ NU: as in previous.

DR, BQ, NU: H. Jabir [R]: “His treaded path could be recognized by the fragrance of his blessed body!”

Also, BZ, YA: H. Anas [R]: SA, NU: H. Anas [R]:“From his [Sall-Allahu ‘alaihi wa sallam] fragrance, we would anticipate his arrival!!"

DR: Ibraham Nakh’i:“In pitch darkness, we recognized him from his [Sall-Allahu ‘alaihi wa sallam] fragrance!!”

NU: U. Aisha (R):“His [Sall-Allahu ‘alaihi wa sallam] face was radiant like the full moon. The perspiration on his face was like pearls and fragrant like the best musk!!”
