Massive Milad Celebrations in India
India, which is home to more than 200 million Muslims has seen massive Milad-un-Nabi celebrations on Saturday February 27.
The celebrations were observed with great joy and fervor throughout India. Indian president and prime minister along with regional leaders issued congratulatory statements. Hindu and Christian leaders joined in congratulating Muslims. Prayers, Zikrs, Naats , Religious discourses were observed as thanksgiving to Allah for sending Prophet Muhammad (saws) as the Mercy to all The worlds. Distribution of food and sweets was another expression of thanksgiving. Lightng and decorating homes, mosques and buildings along with fire works were other ways of expressing joy and thanks for the occasion.
